AI Phone Receptionist

What does an AI receptionist cost?

Short answer: across the market, about $25 to $300 or more a month. Our price is printed in full below — $399 to set up, then $199 a month — because a starting price by itself does not tell you what a real month costs.

$399 setup + $199/month — $598 first month total, then $199/month

A live test call is arranged before any payment — if you don’t like what you hear, you don’t buy it. There is no payment link on this site on purpose.

No free trial here — every minute on a live call costs real platform money. The test call is the free evaluation: hear it answer as your business, ask your hardest questions, then decide. One timing note: the test call runs on a live number on our phone platform, and our platform account is still in approval — we will arrange your test call as soon as the account clears.

What the market charges

Market summary from FindSkill’s 2026 guide to AI receptionists (checked October 14, 2026; the guide reviews its prices quarterly). Three ways of charging cover most of the market:

Flat monthly rate — about $99 to $299 is typical

One price each month. Easier to budget, and the number to check is what happens at your call volume: ask what counts as a call, and what a busy month does to the bill.

Per minute — roughly $0.08 to $0.50 a minute in the guide’s range

You pay for talk time. Short calls stay cheap. Long calls, hold time, and a busy week add up in ways that are hard to predict before the first invoice.

Per call — roughly $1 to $10 a call in the guide’s range

You pay each time the phone is answered. Simple to count, but a week of wrong numbers and repeat callers still counts.

What ours costs, in full

$399 setup + $199/month — $598 first month total, then $199/month

$399 one-time setup + $199/month. First month total: $598. Month-to-month — cancel anytime, no long contract.

Your plan includes 300 call minutes a month; past that, extra minutes are $0.50 each, itemized on your invoice, and we alert you at 240 minutes so a busy month never surprises you.

What the setup covers

  • Your number set up, your services, hours, and prices loaded.
  • Appointment booking into your calendar.
  • A message and summary for every call.
  • A live test call you approve before launch.
  • Live by the date we agree, or your setup fee comes back in full — guaranteed.

No payment link here on purpose: you hear the voice live first, and only pay if you like what you hear. Full price details are also on the Pricing page. One timing note: our phone platform account is still in approval, so the test call is arranged as soon as the account clears.

How to compare without getting surprised

  1. Work out a normal month first. Count the calls you miss in a week — nights, weekends, and while you are on a job. Price every option against that month, not against its first tier.

  2. Ask what counts. Under per-minute and per-call plans, ask whether spam calls, wrong numbers, and hold time are billed. Those minutes are the surprise on most first invoices. Ask a flat rate the same question — what a busy month does to the bill. Our answer is printed in full in the price box above.

  3. Ask what happens on a hard call. A burst pipe at 9:40 PM should reach a person. If a service cannot hand a call to you by a rule you set, its price is not the whole story.

Do the same math we ask owners to do for missed calls: calls you miss in a week × 4.33 weeks in a month × your average job ticket × the share you would have won. If that monthly number comes out under $199, we will tell you not to buy this.

Questions about cost

How much does an AI receptionist cost?

Across the market, AI receptionist services cost about $25 to $300 or more per month in 2026. Ours costs $399 one-time setup plus $199 a month. The first month is $598 total, then $199 a month, month-to-month.

Why do prices range from $25 to $300 or more a month?

Sellers charge in different ways. Some charge a flat monthly rate, some charge per minute of talk time, and some charge per call. A low starting price under a per-minute or per-call plan can cost more than a flat rate once real calls come in, so compare what a normal month of your calls would cost, not the starting price.

What does the $399 setup cover?

Your number set up, your services, hours, and prices loaded, appointment booking into your calendar, a message and summary for every call, and a live test call you approve before launch.

Is there a long contract?

No. It is month-to-month and you can cancel any month. A live test call is arranged before any payment, so you hear it answer as your business before money moves.

How does this compare with a person answering the phone?

A human answering service usually charges by the minute of agent time, and a part-time hire costs wages every week whether the phone rings or not. This answers when you cannot pick up — nights, weekends, and while you are on a job — for $199 a month. Complicated calls and emergencies still go straight to you.
